Used Perkins 4236 72hp Four Cylinder Naturally Aspirated Heat Exchanger Cooled Marine Diesel Engine With Borg Warner 1:1 Hydraulic Gearbox. 24V Electrics. Removed from a large timber motorboat which was being fully restored. Leisure use only so low hours circa 3000 from new. This is an earlier marinisation with the heavy duty flywheel and flywheel housing. Starts and runs very nicely indeed with a clean exhaust and no visible leaks. Oil pressure excellent whether hot or cold.
Currently fitted with dry exhaust flange but could be fitted with wet mixer elbow if required. The engine has been tested by our workshops with no faults noted. It has since been serviced and painted, ready for more work. The Perkins 4236 is well known to be an extremely robust engine and is why it was the engine of choice for many smaller Massey Ferguson tractors during the 70s, 80s and 90s. The engine is currently fitted with 24V electrics but could be converted to 12v by changing starter, alternator and instrument senders which can be carried out by separate negotiation if required.
